Michael Kinsella

Michael served as the senior assistant playing coach in 2022 and 2023 before stepping into the senior coaching role in 2024, where he led his team to a premiership and earned recognition as the team of the year coach.

As a player, he has amassed over 200 senior games, gained experience with the Sandringham Dragons and interleague representation, and has been a key figure at Murrumbeena since 2010. Throughout his career, he has played in six grand finals, received multiple team of the year selections, and won a premiership as a player.

Shayne Joyce

Shane Joyce will be joining MFNC as a senior assistant coach and mentor to all of our coaching staff.

Shane is a level 3 AFL coach whose coaching experience includes

  • University Blacks senior assistant & Development coach
  • Assistant Coach at Sandringham Dragons.
  • U/16 Vic Metro Assistant Coach.
  • Williamstown VFL Development League Premiership coach.
  • Senior coach Collegians FC, 2 x VAFA Premier grand finalist.
Robbie Ryan

Robert Ryan is a proud Murrumbeena junior who has successfully transitioned to the senior club. In his first season as a coach, Rob led the Open team to a remarkable premiership, achieving only one loss in 2024 and the highest percentage of any team in the SFNL.

Cameron has been a dedicated Murrumbeena JFC player since the age of 9 and has now amassed over 160 senior club games. He has won a senior premiership at Fish creek in 2023 and a reserves premiership at Beena in the 2024 season. For 2025, Cameron will serve as our Development Team Coach.

Dima

Dimi is the head coach of our U/19s team and led the squad to a premiership in his second season in charge. He brings nearly a decade of junior coaching experience, including roles with the St Kilda Next Generation Academy and Caulfield Grammar APS.
